EcoSafi: Brand Strategy | Messaging | Art Direction | Visualization | Packaging Design | Product Development

As Senior Program Manager, I oversaw the progression and development of brand strategy, visual design, packaging, and product development, leading a three year partnership between client stakeholders, internal design teams, external product engineering teams, and local partners in Nairobi to support the the successful launch of Eco Safi’s first product offering. Our engagement with EcoSafi, a startup in the renewable energy space began with a back of the napkin idea of reimagining the cooking experience in rural communities around the world which rely on charcoal fed cooking methods. Building on the idea, EcoSafi was born. The company manufactures a biomass cooker using pellet fuel intended for families to cook their daily meals. The pellet briquette fuel is made from waste biomass, like sawdust from lumber mills or agricultural crop waste and it offers a range of cooking temperatures of any fuel, from a slow simmer to boiling and frying, enabling customers to provide low-cost and clean burning experience.
